The Andy Team - MacKenna Unger

These are the core values that guide the Andy team in everything we do. We live playfully and own it (spirited) by putting humans and animals first (nurturing) while staying true to who we are (rooted). While we actively and intentionally work to demonstrate these values on a daily basis, sometimes it comes a little more naturally to members of the Andy team. MacKenna is one of these people. You have to meet her (and chances are you might have already), which is why she is in the spotlight for today's post.

What is your nickname?
Mostly, it’s Mac or in high school it was Mackie
Andy: Is it because you were a fan of Apple compute...oh, nevermind, we get it.That's fun.
How long have you been at Andy by Anderson Hay?
8 months.
Andy: Coincidentally, 8 months ago is when bagel day started around the office. We don't know if that is true, but it feels true.
What is it you say you do here?
Customer Relations. Ba dum tss.
Andy: Fine, we'll humble-brag for you: you are the bestiest customer service person who handles all of Andy's email, chat and phone support requests, while managing multiple priorities AND you help manage the non-profit, small pet rescue organizations that connect with the Andy organization.
What has been your favorite Andy moment so far?
I can’t pick a specific memory but working here is so fun! I am surrounded by such hardworking joyful people that makes my job enjoyable! We have a great crew.
Andy: Not gonna lie, we are disappointed that meeting Jared for the first time didn't make the list.
What is one thing your friends say about you that is not true?
Ha! Hmm. People think I’m a patient person… I am not a patient person.
Andy: There are several definitions of patience. You seem to live most of them.(remind us to ask you how you really feel about waiting for Jared to get back to you)
What is your Andy focused spirit animal? Rabbit, Guinea Pig, Gerbil, Chinchilla, Hamster? Why?
I’m gonna go with a gray Lionhead rabbit named Mable Jean. Mable Jean loves food, happy and serious, but also has a fun side that sneaks up on you. She kind of sits there and does her thing looking all cool and wild, but occasionally likes to hop on over and see what her friends are up to and make sure they are all eating healthy.
Andy: We bet MJ is super caring and highly responsive to support emails, too.
What wishes do you have for small pets around the world?
World Peace. And that every one of them would have a loving home where they eat quality hay straight from the farm.
